I've been trying to weld on a car. It's a car for a demolition derby, welding the doors shut. And this thing is just kicking my butt!! I know it's just a demo car but I'd still like to lay down some decent welds. I'm using my 210MP with 035 flux core. My settings are 40-45 on the amps and 14-15 wfs.
Then I tried to Texas tig it with 3/32 Hobert 7018 on about 40-55 amps and that turned out looking like the south end on a north bound mule. What the fluff am I doing wrong? Should I use solid wire mig? Truth be told I've never welded on thin sheet metal like this and didn't think it'd be that difficult. Any suggestions at all would be a big help.
