I have listened to 90% of the welding tips and tricks podcast episodes. It is probably the best welding podcast there is. Sadly the guys aren’t doing that anymore and I first want to congratulate them for all the fantastic episodes they did.

However I am having podcast withdrawals and can only listen to old episodes so many times.

Sadly some of the best you tube channels and podcasts that I watch just stop suddenly without warning. No final episode no notice if of stopping. One channel I used to watch in YouTube the guy posted a great video with a see you next time ending and never posted another video again. I honestly hope that gentleman is ok and still with us, it was that sudden.

Life happens. Nothing lasts forever. But what other great podcasts are out there equal to what once was?

What may oneday replace it? What would people want in a future welding podcast?

Here is a podcast i have enjoyed. Its more of a maker podcast then a welding podcast. Its also discontinued but there are lots of episodes in the back catalog.

Ill check those out. I don't really check out most of the maker stuff as I really love the industrial, commercial, professional side of the industry. Worth a look though.

Can't explain it really I just love industrial stuff whether it be something really small or really big.

Adam Savage started his career doing prop making for Industrial Light and Magic. Maybe there will be something in there for you.

Perhaps someone else will chime in? I spend a lot of time on the road and podcasts are the way I pass my time.

Thank you for the kind words about the WT&T Podcast. We had a lot of fun over the years recording and talking with all the different folks in the industry. Sadly, our schedules all got very busy and couldn't line them up to record anymore. We tried a few different options to work out better for scheduling but those didn't work out very well either. I'm sorry for the abrupt stop of episodes that was not the way it was to be but sadly was. I have thought about continuing my own podcast with the same format of interviewing other welders and industry folks. Just have to figure out the time to do it before jumping back in to it. Now that I have a very good understanding on the time that it will take, ha ha!

I liked the fact that they got the old timers on to tell stories of the old days. Many younger guys turn their nose up at the way things used to be done and turn their nose up at older more basic gear.

I always joke that humanity went to the moon with HeliArc, sine wave, and passive welding lenses.

Guys had entire careers doing aerospace work to the highest quality long before we had any of the fancy stuff we have now. We should listen to those guys and have them tell their stories.

I notice Bob Moffatt has a new youtube channel called "Lets Weld Something" really good channel where he goes around and tours different places and interviews people.

I messaged him about it and he said he would really like to talk to the old school guys who came up in the 50's 60's and 70's.
